Call me silly, but Monday's are my new favorite night of TV and I would argue the best night for shameless bad "high quality" television.

It all starts tonight at 8, with the ever dramatic (and definitely more entertaining than my own experience at a snobby private east coast high school) new episode of Gossip Girl! Serena's "big secret" is finally revealed, Jenny seems to have a new hot rich boyfriend, and someone is GAY!

But your Monday night viewing pleasure doesn't end there! The hour from 9 to 10 has nothing worth watching, so I suggest you either catch up on old epsodes on abc.com or mtv.com (anyone see last week's Real World? The season is finally starting to show potential!) or occupy your time with something a bit more substantive...as I will be studying for finals. 

But you must return to your TV by 9:59pm because the hour from 10 to 11 is yet another great moment of trashy tv. Blonde well-dressed petty California drama awaits us on The Hills (again, NY Mag has a great little recap article of last week's episode: http://nymag.com/daily/fashion/2008/04/the_hills_are_alive_with_the_s.html)  and in between commercial breaks flip over to ABC's The Bachelor London Calling, Women Tell All! - which, for anyone who's watched the earlier episodes, should be highly entertaining.

Not to worry though, if you miss one or both of these 10pm programs, both ABC and MTV put the shows online - MTV's are available as early as 10:30 pm and ABC airs previous episodes by Tuesday.

So call over the girlfriends and settle in for a night of quality television programming that reiterates how much better your own seemingly less interesting life is than the ones displayed in these 3 great hours.
